We received a frantic call from someone who had heard from some who knew someone who knew about us. It was a desperate situation and the 2 goats were going to be shot if someone would not take these goats. Apparently the man who had the goats had bought them on craigslist and wanted to breed them to make money in meat goats, He was furious to find that the male was neutered and took them out in his field to shoot them.. A neighrbor saw him and ran out, offering him money to save the 2 goats from death.
And so the goats came here. We named them Heidi and Henry. They had obviously had no human interaction and were frightened of everything. Now they are sweet, gentle goats who love us and enjoy hiking and wait every day to be let out of their pen to run and frolic with the dogs on the long walk we take them on every day no matter the weather.
