| Antique Quilts and Quilt Tops |
I have been collecting antique quilts for over 25 years. I love everything about them. I quilt tops, 100 year old quilts that still look like new, love children’s quilts, and tattered quilts. I love quilt blocks and the fabrics that were used, identifying the era they were made and marveling at each tiny stitch. But most of all I love the stories behind the quilts.
Many of the quilts offered here have their history attached. Years ago my husband and I owned an antique shop and we would travel to the mid-west searching for wonderful treasures to bring home, including stacks of quilts. I went to great lengths to find the name and history of the people whose quilt I bought. Most of them were found at auction where I had a chance to speak with the family or neighbors.
This is my personal quilt collection – After a quarter century of collecting, I am offering for sale what I consider to be the ‘best of the best’ to help finance our ever increasing number of rescued animals. Each sale from our website helps our donkeys, dogs, cats, birds and other rescued animals.
Sometimes the colors do not come across well on the website. Please feel free to request additional photos or information which I will be happy to email.
